Mizubasho Sake Brewery Tour

On the banks of rural Gunma Prefecture’s Tone River in 1886, the Nagai Sake Brewery opened its doors.

Today, the sake produced by that same brewery can be found on Michelin-starred menus across the globe.

Travel by private bus to the birthplace of Mizubasho, one of the world’s leading sake blends.

CEO Noriyoshi Nagai leads a private brewery tour before a lunch of local Gunma delights paired with rare sakes all served in a traditional sunken hearth dining room designed by Nagai himself.

In a recent edition of INTOUCH, Nagai explained his passion for Japan’s national spirit.

Also included in this tour is a visit to 800-year-old Kichijyoji Temple and its flower garden boasting more than 100 varieties in full spring bloom.
